美国总统特朗普发布公告，将白宫椭圆形办公室和内阁会议室指定为国家纪念地，称目的是在第二任期进行大规模装修后加以保护。他已在椭圆形办公室增加金色装饰，并计划建造华丽宴会厅，此前拆除了白宫东翼。公告称这些空间不能被拆除、破坏或触碰。
